A commercial cold room is a modular, insulated walk-in refrigerator or freezer that provides large-scale chilled or frozen storage for restaurants, shops, butchers, and caterers. Built from insulated panels with a dedicated cooling unit, cold rooms offer far more capacity than reach-in cabinets and let staff walk in to store and pick stock efficiently.

• Cold room (chiller) — holds fresh produce, meat, and dairy at 1–4°C.
• Walk-in freezer — holds frozen stock at –18°C or below.

Sizing and installation

Cold rooms are modular and built to fit your space, from compact 1.5m x 1.5m units to large multi-bay rooms. Each needs a correctly sized refrigeration unit, adequate floor loading, and F-gas certified installation. Plan the door position and shelving for efficient stock rotation.
